Say Something I’m Giving Up On You

“Say something I’m giving up on you.”

This is how we usually feel in our deepest and darkest moments about God.

When we do not hear an answer, when we are unable to see the wisdom in his plan, we give up.

During the Holocaust,

God was silent.

During 9/11,

God was silent.

During your moment of death,

God will be silent.

However, in order for us to grow we need this freedom. In order to have an unshakable Faith, we need to truly believe when everything in our lives says otherwise. When we realize the lack of proof of his existence is a testament to his genius, we grow in innumerable ways. God had to step back, guide us through his plan, but fool us to thinking we were alone. That way we can come to Faith naturally, participate in our creation, and be responsible for the person we see in the mirror. This way God still gets us to be the people he wants us to be, while in the same process we become our own persons.

Breathtaking isn’t it?
